MENTAL DIET: HOW TO MAKE YOUR WORDS COUNT (PART 7)

Seler ads

One day, after a training session, P.C. Merrell, who was conducting the training, called an employee aside and said, “You know, Zig, I’ve been watching you for two and one half years, and I have never seen such a waste.” He continued, “You have a lot of ability. You could be a great one and maybe even become a national champion.”

Zig asked Mr. Merrell if he really meant what he was saying. This was Merrell’s response: “Zig, there is no doubt in my mind if you really went to work, and started believing in yourself, you could go all the way to the top.” That one simple but great occasion marked the turning point in Zig Ziglar’s life.

In his words, “My self-image was that of the little guy from the little town, who someday was going to go back to that little town and earn $5,117 in a single year. Now all of a sudden, here’s a man whom I admired and respected telling me, ‘You could be a great one.’ Fortunately, I believed Mr. Merrell and started thinking like a champion, acting like a champion, seeing myself as a champion—and performing like a champion.”

Indeed, Zig Ziglar did become a national sales champion and moved on in impacting millions of lives around the world through his audio recording, books and as a motivational speaker.

Never downplay the power of encouraging words for it fuels the individual with the courage to stretch and maximize poetentials and reach for heights that had seemed impossible in the past.

When people are down and out in the pursuit of their dreams they need encouragement the most. When people want to do what they have never done before in order to seize the opportunities before them, they need encouragement.

In order not to breakdown in the process of obtaining a breakthrough for a breakout, encouragement is much need. To keep moving on the winning lane of life, encouragemt is needed.

Seize every opportunity  to dispense encouraging words and actions to people for you never know the far-reaching effects it can have in impacting the lives of others.

CAUTION:

Never try to be funny at the expense of others. Never let your “joke”  become a yoke of offense to another.

Never talk hatred; never hate anyone but love everyone including your enemies.

THE TRAGEDY OF A HATER

“A hater is someone who is jealous and envious and spends all their time trying to make you look small so they can look tall.

They are very negative people to say the least. Nothing is ever good enough!

When you make a mark, you always attract some haters…

That’s why you have to be careful with whom you share your blessings and your dreams, because some folk can’t handle seeing you blessed…

If God wanted you to be like somebody else, he would have given you what he gave them! Right?

You never know what people have gone through to get what they have…

The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they don’t know my story…

If the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, you can be rest assured that the water bill is higher there too!

We’ve all got some haters among us!

Some people envy you because you can;

Have a relationship with God

  • Light up a room when you walk in
  • Start your own business
  • Tell a man/woman to hit the curb (if he/she isn’t about the right thing)
  • Raise your children without both parents being in the home.

Haters will never want to see you succeed.

Most of our haters are people who are supposed to be on our side.

How do you handle your undercover haters?

You can handle these haters by:

(1)       Knowing who you are and who your friends are (very important).

(2)       Having a purpose for your life: purpose does not mean having a job. You can have a job and still be unfulfilled. A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you to be. Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you.

(3)       By remembering what you have is by divine prerogative and not human manipulation.

Fulfill your dreams! You only have one life to live…

When it’s your time to leave this earth, you want to be able to say I’ve lived my life and fulfilled “my” dreams…

Now I’m ready to go HOME!

WHEN God gives you favor, you can tell your haters, “Don’t look at me…look at who is in charge of me….”

            -MAYA ANGELOU.

We usually think of what hate does for the individual hated or the individuals hated. But it is even more tragic, it is even more ruinous and injurious to the individual who hates.

You just begin hating somebody, and you will begin to do irrational things. You can’t see straight when you hate. You can’t walk straight when you hate. You can’t stand upright. Your vision is distorted. There is nothing more tragic than to see an individual whose heart is filled with hate. He comes to the point that he becomes a pathological case.

For the person who hates, you can stand up and see a person and that person can be beautiful, and you will call them ugly. For the person who hates, the beautiful becomes ugly and the ugly becomes beautiful. For the person who hates, the good becomes bad and the bad becomes good. For the person who hates, the true becomes false and the false becomes true. That’s what hate does.

You can’t see right. The symbol of objectivity is lost. Hate destroys the very structure of the personality of the hater. And this is why Jesus says hate (does damage to the self)…. The way to be integrated with yourself is be sure that you meet every situation of life with an abounding love.

-Martin Luther King Jr.

Love God, love self, love people and love your life. Change the things you dislike about your life if you can and if you can’t, change your attitude about them.

Eliminate the word, “hate” from your vocabulary and replace it with love and you will raise the quality of your life experience.

Most importantly, when you align your thoughts, words and deeds with God’s Word or Scripture, you align yourself to the flow of all good towards you.

Therefore, the heights you attain in life is dependent on the depth and quality of your beliefs.  When you live by the conviction of making your words count you keep rising in the world.
