Never count the years rather make the years count. When you hold the old age conviction, you will attract the old age condition. When your spirit becomes aglow with aliveness and interest your body becomes refreshed and rejuvenated.

Your body is the physical expression of your mental impression. When you view the declining years as a time to sit on a recliner and watch life pass by as a spectator, you start dying before the actual death. When you view the declining years as a time to move up and get revived to complete the game of life in a grand style and finish strong, you will really live full and die empty.

Old age begins in the mind and manifests in the body. Therefore, youthful thinking creates youthful living; rekindle the enthusiasm for life; revive dead dreams and create new and high ideals to reach for, press forward for the prize.

When you have discovered your life’s work in which you have been wired for and you become absorbed in it, you grow in years rather than growing old.

When you never cease from becoming useful and helpful to the world, you never cease from rekindling the youthfulness spirit which will manifest in your body.

Never plan to retire from your life’s work rather get re-fired to reach new heights and breakthrough unprecedented horizon. You may need to rest from time to time but never rest from living for a purpose and on purpose-everyday.

FOCUS ON GROWING YOUR MIND

“At age twenty, lying in a hospital bed where six doctors struggled all night in the operating room to save his life. The doctors became exasperated from the failure to save his life as they were unable to hear his heartbeat. They couldn’t find his pulse.

The head surgeon took a knife and cut the blood vessels in his wrist. The fluid was yellow. One of the doctors said, “Not even a miracle can save him now”. As the chief surgeon was about to leave the room, the young intern that was present asked, “May I have the body?” “Yes” was the response. All the doctors left the operating room except the young intern.

However, unknown to them, the young man was hanging between life and death. Though in the conscious state he was dead, in the subconscious state he was alive and was communicating with Divinity.

He began to speak to God as a friend, ‘You know me-You are my blood-You are my life-You are inside me-You are my everything. There is but one mind-one principle-one substance in the universe, and I am one with all else.” He continued, “If I die, I don’t lose anything, I just change form. But I am only twenty years old. Dear God, I am not afraid to die but I’m willing to live! If you choose to give me life, someday, somehow, I’ll be able and willing through Your mercy to lead a better life and help others”.

As the intern reached for the young man, he looked at his face and saw a teardrop falling from the corner of his left eye. “Doctor, doctor, come quickly! I think he’s alive!” he called excitedly.

Amazingly, the young man lived though it took him more than a year to regain his physical strength. And the young man-Rafel lived to keep his promise. He devoted his life to helping others. And he later revealed “I have read many inspirational books but I believe the thought that went through my mind that night was primarily from Science and Health, with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

Wow! What a story. Human beings were designed to grow; unfold and evolve spiritually, mentally and even materially. The more you tend the mind and spirit the stronger it grows and will be capable to sustain you in challenging times, making you emerge triumphantly and consequently, making you evolve into a better person.

Always keep in mind that your body is the temple of God. What an awesome privilege and a great responsibility. And it is the spirit that sustains the body. When growth stops death begins to set in.

Growth is the language of the universe that runs through every living thing and humans the king of all creatures are not left out. Dr. John Hagelin reveals, “In fact, parts of our body are literally replaced every day. Other parts take a few months, other parts a couple of years. But within a few years, we have a brand new physical body.”

What a revelation! If our body systems and structures keep growing and renewing itself; if it is not interrupted by our thought processes and habits, then can you fathom how powerful and strong we can be, if we grow and renew our minds every day?

Focus on growing, enlarging and unfolding your mental capacity in order to have a greater impact on the world rather than focusing on growing old. Never stop engaging in deliberate, purposeful learning in order to consistently maximize potentials. Growing your mind leads to consistent progress. Neglecting mind growth leads to retrogression.

Grow deeper every day in love; grow all the virtues that make life beautiful; Grow in compassion daily; Grow in wisdom and excellence; and you will experience health, wealth and happiness that only growth brings.
