THE POWER OF ASSOCIATION (PART 2)

To make your life better, choose better associations. When you tolerate mediocrity in others, your life decelerates to mediocrity. Your friends are either your greatest asset or your greatest liability.

Friends that won’t help you become all that you were created to be will make you less than you are. Your friends will either stretch your ability to become more or will shrink your capacity to become less. People going nowhere, will lead you anywhere but the right way.

It doesn’t take a crowd to destroy your focus; it takes a single destructing person. The narrative of your life story can be altered by the influence of a single person. Therefore, choose with caution your close association.

Negative association negates the possibilities within us. When you surround yourself with the right kind of people, you experience a turnaround in your life. When you look at your close association or your inner circle, what you see in them exist in you. If you do not like what you see in them, then change your association. If you do not want to become what you see in your association, then make changes.

The association you choose to keep can either draw out the best within or drain the positive energy within you. Your association can nourish your growth or it can diminish or impede your growth.

One of the greatest decision or choices you will ever make is the decision on whom you spend most of your time with. Hang out with people who are going where you want to go or are already there; hang out with people who are self-improvement driven; hang out with people who are committed to having a mutually beneficial relationship with you rather than a self-serving or selfish agenda. You cannot create a great future if you won’t give up on associating with people who can sabotage your future. People who won’t increase you will diminish you.

If your association is not helping you become a better person and fulfilling your purpose in life, then you had better severe your association with the person or people involved lest they severe you from living out your purpose and cause you severe misery.
