MENTAL DIET: THIRTY POWERS OF AN IRRESISTIBLE PERSONALITY (PART 2)
“You may embellish yourself with clothes of the neatest and latest design, and conduct yourself in a most pleasing manner as far as outside appearances go but if there is greed, envy, and hatred, and jealousy, and avarice, and selfishness in your heart, you will never attract any, except those characters which harmonize with your own. Like attracts like, and you may be sure, therefore, that those who are attracted to you are those whose inward nature parallels your own?
- Napoleon Hill.
PERSONALITY POWER 2: THE POWER OF PURPOSE
You exude an unstoppable aura when you know who you are; where you are going and what you want to accomplish in the course of your life. This inner knowing of what you stand for and what you live for gives precision to every move you make and determines every decision you take to stake your claim of your destiny.
When you have a potent reason for doing what you are doing you become an irresistible force that attracts the cooperation and support of people to accomplish your goals or aims. In other words, when you have a deep and valid “Why” behind your “what” the “how” will be magnetized to you.
In essence, when you live with a mission and possess a vision and your mission and vision possess you, you become a conduit of power – an irresistible force for good.
- Vision is the fusion of intense desire and creative imagination without limits.
- The mission is the mandate of destiny that you uphold and live out daily which strengthens your character and elevates humanity. The mission is well propagated in the world.
- Your mission statement describes how you want to make a difference in your life and how you are going to make a difference in the lives of others.
The world makes way for you when you tread through the path of your life’s purpose.
PERSONALITY POWER 3: THE POWER OF ENTHUSIASM
To turn on the interest of others you must be turned on by tuning into the frequency of enthusiasm.
Enthusiasm comes from the two Greek words “en” and “theos” which mean “in” and “God”. This invariably implies In-Life and In-Love.
In essence, enthusiasm means, faith ignited and expressed; love stirred and activated; knowledge acquired and deepened; curiosity aroused.
To be enthusiastic is to be genuinely interested: to be interested in life; interested in your customers or clients; interested in your audience; interested in your job; interested in people; interested in succeeding with people; and interested in your team.
Life it up: life up your handshake; life up your “thank you”; life up your talk – color your words with sincere feelings. Come alive in everything you do and say.
PERSONALITY POWER 4: THE SENSATION OF A SMILE
Your dressing is never complete until you wear a smile on your face; one that is from the heart, such smiles penetrate and melt hearts and make you irresistible.
A smile gives people a sense of approval and warmth in your presence.
The right facial expression that turns out right in making the sale is the sensation of a smile.
