INSCRIPTION: The Power of The Imagination
For thousands of years, there was a popular belief that it was impossible for a human being to run the mile in less than 4 minutes and medical scientists asserted the same.
But in 1954 Roger Bannister turned the tide around and set the pace by eradicating the limiting belief. Roger Bannister utilized a secret that may seem cheap to the ignorant but it is inestimable to the doers in the world who journey the pathway of success. This secret lies in employing the power of imagination.
Bannister employed his imaginative ability by mentally rehearsing his victory of running the mile in less than 4 minutes. He visualized his dream with intensity and faith, mentally seeing every detail each step of the way, with the combination of physical practice and most importantly by visualizing his victory, he employed the services of his subconscious mind which does not fail. As it is imprinted on the pages of history,
Roger Bannister broke the impossible barrier. Ever since many other runners have accomplished the same feat because a man dared to dream and maximise his imagination.

AN UNLIMITED LIFE
What kind of life do you want to lead? What do you want to accomplish in life? Are your dreams far-fetched? Are you on the verge of giving up? Are you held bound by your present circumstance and condition? Do you want to thrive financially and realize your dreams despite the economic climate of your nation?
We are living in a universe of infinite possibilities. There is no limit to what you can be, do and have in the course of your life. The misuse and underuse of the imagination is the only limitation in life. Napoleon Bonaparte states, “Imagination rules the world”.47 “Imagination is more important than facts”48 asserts Albert Einstein. Every idea great and small stems from this creative force. Architects, athletes, actors, inventors, writers, salespeople and indeed those who materialize their ideals employ this destiny-creating force.
HOW TO EMPLOY YOUR IMAGINATION
Imagination is resident in everyone but only a few people develop and use it for their benefit. The entrance of an idea into your mind could be likened to a spark of lightning in which the idea must be penned down lest it is wiped out from the mind. The idea must be developed by the use of the imagination. Visualizing who you want to be, what you want to do, and what you want to have sets the pace for your reality. You need to imagine a clear picture of your dream or vision.
- Focus
Focus on your goals or dreams with intensity and absolutely believe in their manifestation. Make it vivid and detailed as if you were already in possession of it. Concentrate your mind; direct your focus on your dreams and the steps you need to actualize them. Call the picture to mind often as you seek out a quiet and relaxed environment for deep meditation.
- Meditate
Meditate on your goals daily probably early in the morning before you begin the day and last thing at night before you get to sleep. The more intense and clear the mental picture, the more it becomes imprinted on your subconscious mind, which in turn propels you to take adequate action and also lay hold on insight and opportunities that will transform your dreams into reality.
- Positive Self-talk
Always speak positively to yourself about actualizing your dreams. Don’t talk about the problem or circumstances rather talk about the solution and the ideal life you want to manifest. Let your words match your aspirations.
- Be Solution Conscious
Be solution-conscious and never lose sight of your dreams. Create an imaginative arousing atmosphere by reading books and associating with people that will influence your mind positively. Let’s take heed to the words of Orison Swett Marden, “People who climb in the world see themselves climbing. They picture themselves actually in the position they long to be in. They climb mentally first. What we believe, what we think, what we expect, shapes our lives”.
