When your entire life revolves around your values system, you live with integrity, and your life eases with precision, blossoming into effectiveness. Your relationships, career, or business goals, and everything about you should align with your value system; only then can you live a heart-centered life.

Why you do what you do should be anchored in your values. To change your circumstances, you must first of all identify and clarify your values because until your values change, you remain stuck in your present circumstances.

  • Clarify Your Values:
  • Write down what each value means to you in your everyday life.
  • What actions are you going to take to live out these values every day? In essence, what actions do your values translate into?
  • Ask the right questions and search within for honest or sincere answers.

For Example:

Values that set your life’s priority:

Family:

What does family mean to you?

  1. Does it mean sharing or providing?
  2. Does it mean spending more time together?
  3. Does it mean feeling connected?

Values that govern your everyday conduct:

What does it mean to you?

Discipline:

What does discipline mean to

  1. How am I going to exert discipline to do what I ought to do and when I ought to do it?
  2. How am I going to exert discipline to control my tongue or my temper when I am angry?
  3. How am I going to exert discipline over my emotions, passion, and impulses?
  4. How am I going to exert discipline in the way I spend or handle my finances?
  • On a scale of 1-10, 1 representing the lowest and 10 representing the highest, how much of this value is being honored in your daily life on the scale of 1-10?
  • Review your values regularly
  • Review your values to refine them and increase your understanding of them, and what actions they translate into in varied or different situations as life unfolds.
  • Conduct periodic values checks to examine yourself if you are living in alignment with your values every day. It could be a daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly check.

Your thoughts and feelings about yourself will dictate the convictions you live by. What you can do and what you cannot is usually predicated on your life’s experiences and conditioning rather than on the reality of your potential.

Your life will conform to what informs your thinking. The more you dwell on the person you aspire to be, the more you are inspired to become the person you were created to be. The more you dwell on the qualities you would like to have, the more you will manifest the qualities you desire to have.

Your ongoing evolution is the key that revolutionizes your life. What you habitually think about shows up in your character as your personality.
