PLAN TO ALWAYS WIN (PART 4)

“Make your plans as fantastic as you like, because twenty-five years from now, they will seem mediocre. Make your plans ten times as great as you  first planned, and twenty-five years from now you will wonder why you did not make them fifty times as great.”

  • HENRY CURTIS.

RULE 6: BE ACCURATELY AND ADEQUATELY INFORMED.

When you jump to conclusion in making decisions you jump to delusion and success becomes elusive. Impatience stabs good judgment into extinction.

When you  look at situations through the lens of the present without considering the big picture, your perspective becomes dwarfed and your decisions becomes limited, thwarting long term wins and reward.

When you are devoid of adequate facts, your decisions becomes defective. When you are inaccurately informed you become acutely illusioned in your decision making.

Asking the right questions leads to finding the right answers. Ask right and quality questions and strive to gather the data of right and wise answers that are comprehensive.

Move into a space of action based on your selection of the best, right and appropriate information or answers in which you have meticulously searched out.

When you know and are confident that you have adequate, accurate and reliable information or facts at your disposal, then courageously act.

Whatever the outcome you encounter advance with it or through it; if it works out successfully keep the principles of the process in mind for future undertaking; if it does not work out, view it as an opportunity to learn and grow.

RULE 7: BE AWARE OF THE CONSEQUENCE OF YOUR ACTIONS BEFORE EXECUTION

Every decision we make or action we engage in, comes with its attendant consequences.

The phrase, “Prevention is better than cure” should be applied in the decision making process. It is better to prevent a problem from occurring than battling to get it solved.

In fact, some problems can mar or negatively alter the narrative of your life story even when solved, while some problems may not be absolutely solved, you may have to live with it or bear its consequence for a lifetime.

Consequently, carefully consider the potential consequences of every action you intend to engage in and weigh the consequences of every decision from a long term perspective.

How will the action you are about to take affect the quality of your life in the long term? How will it affect your relationships both with God and the people in your circle of influence? What kind of person will you be becoming if you engage in these actions?

Explore options, weigh the consequences of the options and choose to act based on the option that will produce positive consequences or reward and also align with the fulfillment of your life’s mission or purpose.
