DEVELOPING GREAT HABITS (PART 4)
“Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”
- WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION
A breakdown of health leads to the breakdown of life. To avert the breakdown of health, you need to break out from every unhealthy habit that puts your health at risk.
Nothing works effectively in your life until your health works effectively. Success possibility is lowered by lowered physical and mental vitality. The greatest capital for success is sound health-physical and mental vitality.
An exhausted brain due to abnormal living exhausts success possibilities. When you over-labor the brain you lower the rate of effectiveness. When health gets run-down all your faculties get run-down as well.
When you engage in health-draining behavior or activities, you attract life-ruining condition. To accomplish great things you need robust health-fresh and responsive mind and a vigorous physique.
Health is a vital ingredient of success. Definitely, you cannot swap your health for silver and gold. In fact, one can give all his material treasures to get rid of disease and live healthily. With sound health, you are able to maximize your potentials and enjoy life.
The World Health Organization defines health “as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”.
Health is having clear and refreshed mind; energized body; happy and upbeat; inner peace and zest for life with freedom from emotional baggage.
In light of this, to be healthy is the normal state of being; to be unhealthy is the abnormal state of life. The body is self-maintaining and self-sustaining in nature. Every single cell in your body is subject to your thoughts and feelings.
Disease could be defined, as the mind not at ease.
A Japanese physician who worked with victims of tuberculosis for ten years said, “The personal history of patients usually reveals a failure in business, lack of harmony in the family, or jealousy of some sort. Nervous individuals are especially prone to attacks of this type, and the prognosis is generally bad.
On the other hand, a number of patients who recovered from severe cases of tuberculosis were optimistic and not easily worried.”
From the foregoing, negative thinking leads to negative emotions which trigger sickness and disease.
When you can control and discipline your mental state, you positively influence your physical state.
