INSCRIPTION: IMPOSSIBILITY-OPPORTUNITY FOR POSSIBILITIES

THE DIFFERENCE ONE LIFE CAN MAKE

HENRY FORD – HE REVOLUTIONIZED THE AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY; IMPOSSIBILITY ESTRANGED.

Scientific evidence asserts that the bumblebee can’t fly. The body is too heavy and the wings are too light. Aerodynamically, it is impossible for the bumblebee to fly. Guess what? The bumblebee doesn’t know that he can’t fly – Therefore, in reality, the bumblebee can fly and does fly.

Facts do not determine what is possible or impossible. What defines what is possible or impossible is your thinking.

Let the story of one of the greatest industrialists of all time inspire you to expand your thinking, explore new horizons, take on new territories and make a significant difference in the world by the value you create for others.

“If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing you’re right.

  • HENRY FORD.

Once upon a time, Henry Ford dreamt of building an engine with the entire eight cylinders cast in one block known as V-8 which had never existed before. Consequently, he summoned his engineers  – the experts (Henry Ford was known for hiring the best) and instructed them to produce a design for such an engine.

He said, “Gentlemen, I want you to build an aV-8 engine.”  The engineers looked at Henry Ford ridiculously and explained to Ford that the V-8 engine was scientifically unfeasible or impossible even explaining the reason it couldn’t be built economically.

Guess what? Henry Ford who had very little formal education but had the imagination wasn’t listening rather he said, “Gentlemen, I must have a V-8 engine – build me one.”

Creativity triumphs when possibility thinking is unleashed. Possibility thinkers know no fear of failure; they are risk-takers-they see beyond logical reason into perceptive instinct. Risk-takers are possibility-gainers.

Possibility thinkers are record breakers; they recognize no limitations. They consistently enlarge their vision into the invisible that births the visible

12 months elapsed but there was no success, it seemed as if the harder they tried the more it seemed impossible. At the end of one year, Ford checked with the engineers and he was informed that they were not successful in creating the V-8 engine. Ford responded, “Keep working, I want it and I’ll have it.”

Information is good so long as it leads to the formation of success. However, when information produces limitations it deforms into failure or mediocrity. You never know what you can do unless you do it.

When you think that you can’t when you have not attempted doing it, you are tempted to give up when immediate success does not show up. But you get to show up with “I Can” mentality for success to eventually show up.

Guess what? The “impossibility” bowed and gave way to the possibility thinking. The famous Ford V-8 was created which was the most successful car as at the time and became a pacesetter in so much that it took years for his nearest competitor to catch up.

His introduction of the Ford Model T automobile revolutionized transportation and American industry. In addition, the Ford Model T automobile was so cheap that by 1918 half of all the cars in the U.S were Model T.

Experience is profitable for future ventures if it breeds confidence and enlarges your capacity to explore greater horizons of success. However, if experience misinforms and misleads then experience becomes a liability that makes you liable to a failing life.

Imagination triumphs over mere experience in the success domain. Imagination coupled with evaluated experience is a great asset to ascend heights of success. If an experience does not lead to foresight it becomes a foreclosure on success.

“One of the greatest discoveries a man makes one of his great surprises is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn’t do”

  • HENRY FORD.

“I cannot discover that anyone knows enough to say definitely what is and what is not possible.”

  • HENRY FORD.

PEOPLE BEFORE PROFITS

Henry Ford was an American Industrialist, business magnate and founder of the Ford Motor Company, and chief developer of the assembly line technique of mass production by pioneering the first automobile that middle-class Americans could afford, he translated the automobile from an expensive curiosity into an accessible conveyance that profoundly impacted the landscape of the 20th Century.

The introduction of the Ford Model T automobile revolutionized transportation and American industry.

Henry Ford was known for placing people before profit in his business as he mass-produced inexpensive goods coupled with high wages for workers.

When you care about people – your employees, your customers, or clients, you trigger the continual flow of profits. When you care only about profit, you repel the hearts of your employees, customers and clients which diminishes profits.

When you put people ahead of profits you will become ahead in your business. When you put profit ahead of people you lag behind in your business. When you give the best treatment to your employees the way you will treat your high value customers, they will give your business the best treatment with high productivity and render high-value service to your customers.

When you build your employees they will in turn build your business. When you neglect your employees they will in turn neglect your business. When you secure the heart of people you secure their loyalty and the best of them. Profits matter in a business but people matter more.

“The man who will use his skill and constructive imagination to see how much he can give for a dollar, instead of how little he can give for a dollar is bound to succeed.”

  • HENRY FORD.

“ A business absolutely devoted to service will have only one worry about profits. They will be embarrassingly large”.

  • HENRY FORD.
